This fully-washed coffee is harvested and prepared in Chelchele, some 400 km south of Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa.

This coffee is grown in the very heart of the Yirgacheffe appellation, known on the international scene for its high-quality coffees, with its washing station situated at an altitude of 2,000 metres, which offers advantages for bean preparation.

The coffee takes longer to dry and also suffers less damage from insects, of which there are fewer there. The results are better quality and a more intricate cup.

Our partner works with many local farmers in the vicinity of Gedeb who supply them with their best cherries. They also support various local social and environmental projects, help build roads and provide funding for new primary schools with over 800 pupils, whose expenses they fully cover.

Tasting Notes

Astonishingly aromatic, this coffee emits strong floral notes, citrus, caramel and jasmine. Its juicy body then has a stone fruit acidity and sweetness, lemon, apricot and brown sugar.
