Reg Barber selected Zebra wood for it’s lustrous appearance. The barista tool has a heartwood that’s pale golden yellow, distinct from the very pale color of the sapwood and features narrow streaks of dark brown to black. It is farmed mostly in West Africa. After it is turned on a wood lathe it is hand sanded and polished for a beautiful finish. The process itself can take up to four days. This particular tamper handle comes with an inlayed crown to prevent damage to your equipment from tapping the sided of a porta-filter.
